Google’s Bard AI is now capable of bringing ideas to life through image generation.
Google has announced significant upgrades to its Bard AI platform, incorporating Gemini Pro, its latest multimodal AI model, into all languages and regions where Bard is accessible. This enhancement expands Bard’s capabilities, empowering it with advanced comprehension, reasoning, summarization, and coding skills across various languages. Previously, Gemini Pro was only integrated into Bard for English.
An exciting addition is Bard’s new image generation capability, leveraging Google’s Imagen 2 model. This feature is now available in English globally and is free to use. Users can input descriptions into Bard’s text box and receive customized visuals with high-quality, realistic outputs. Bard embeds digitally identifiable watermarks into generated images using SynthID to ensure authenticity.
Users can now validate Bard’s responses by clicking on the G icon, triggering a Google search in over 40 languages. Bard analyzes web content to verify its responses, presenting users with highlighted phrases and additional information from Google searches.
According to the Large Model Systems Organization, Bard with Gemini Pro is recognized as “one of the most preferred chatbots available.” Third-party evaluators hailed Bard with Gemini Pro as “one of the top-performing conversational AIs” compared to other alternatives.
In response to competition from ChatGPT Plus, Google’s Bard now offers AI image generation using Imagen 2, previously exclusive to ChatGPT Plus, and remains free for users.
Google emphasized the responsible design of Bard’s image capability, incorporating watermarking to indicate AI-generated images and implementing safety measures against inappropriate content.
Bard is also expanding its language support to over 40 languages in more than 230 countries, along with extending the double-check feature to 40 languages, enabling users to validate responses by searching the internet automatically.
As Google continues to innovate in AI technology, Bard emerges as a strong contender in the chatbot arena, providing users with innovative and responsible AI experiences.
