For over 23 years, astronauts have resided and worked on the space station, advancing technology and conducting scientific research. They stay connected with NASA’s Mission Control Center in Houston via the Space Communications and Navigation Near Space Network.
Research and technology experiments on the space station have practical applications on Earth and contribute to future exploration. Under Artemis, NASA will send astronauts to the Moon to prepare for Mars missions, inspiring the next generation of explorers – the Artemis Generation. This commitment ensures America’s leadership in space discovery.
