SpaceX’s Starship failed to safely reach Earth

SpaceX’s Starship, acclaimed as the largest and most potent rocket ever constructed, unfortunately did not return to Earth in one piece during its third test flight, despite reaching a significant distance. The colossal rocket, standing at 120 meters tall and weighing approximately 5,000 tonnes when fueled, lifted off from SpaceX’s Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas, situated near the Gulf of Mexico. This rocket is envisioned to eventually transport astronauts to the moon and Mars. While en route to circumnavigate the Earth, contact with it was lost upon re-entry into the atmosphere.

The intention of SpaceX was not to recover the rocket intact. It was slated to splash down in the Indian Ocean; however, it is believed that it either disintegrated or was incinerated during re-entry. Dan Huot of SpaceX remarked, “We lost the ship, so no splashdown today. But it’s amazing to see how much progress we’ve made.” Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, shared his thoughts on his social media platform, stating, “SpaceX has come a long way.”
