TS Ultra: Verge unveils world’s first motorcycle with sight-enabled tech.

Finnish electric superbike manufacturer, Verge Motorcycles, has revealed substantial enhancements to its flagship model, the TS Ultra. This motorcycle now incorporates advanced hardware and software, marking a groundbreaking achievement as the world’s first motorcycle endowed with a sense of sight.

The Verge TS Ultra is now equipped with six cameras and high-resolution front and rear radars, powered by the revolutionary Starmatter Vision. This cutting-edge technology utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to augment rider safety and situational awareness. Verge’s Chief Technology Officer, Marko Lehtimäki, underscores the significance of this breakthrough, stating, “The combination of the TS Ultra’s new cameras and today’s software update makes it the world’s first motorcycle with the ability to see, providing guidance to the rider and functioning as a ‘whisperer’ during rides.”

While autonomous driving has been a staple in the automotive industry, its implementation in motorcycles poses unique challenges. Verge Motorcycles is confident that technology can surmount these challenges, aiming to enhance riding comfort and overall safety. The upgraded hardware and software enable the motorcycle to analyze its surroundings and deliver real-time alerts to the rider, including notifications of approaching vehicles or lane changes, thereby improving the overall safety of the riding experience.

The Verge TS Ultra introduces revamped display technology, featuring a larger display on top of the tank for improved user-friendliness. The newly unveiled Starmatter Dash display and user interface transform how riders interact with the bike. This dash simplifies the management of essential features, issues alerts for potential hazards, and showcases live feeds from the rear-view camera when turn signals are activated.

Mark Laukkanen, Verge Motorcycles’ VP of User Experience, underscores the company’s dedication to creating the world’s most advanced electric superbikes prioritizing the riding experience. He mentions, “Starmatter Dash offers a visual and intuitive interface, providing the rider with a clear real-time view of the bike’s features and status at a glance.”

The renewed Verge TS Ultra and Starmatter Vision will make their debut at CES in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12, 2024, showcasing the latest advancements in electric motorcycle technology. Verge Motorcycles remains at the forefront of innovation, ushering in a new era of safety and interaction for motorcyclists.

Verge Motorcycles’ steadfast commitment to safety and cutting-edge technology positions the TS Ultra as a trailblazer in the motorcycle industry. As anticipation builds for the CES 2024 unveiling, Verge Motorcycles sets the stage for a future where motorcycles not only embrace technological progress but also lead in reshaping safety standards for riders worldwide.
