Kylian Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, is renowned for her tough negotiating skills in business, and it appears she applies the same approach to her son. Lamari, who serves as both the Paris Saint-Germain superstar’s mother and agent, made a bold statement to Le Parisien. She asserted that she would consider retiring and indulging in a vacation in the Maldives if the 25-year-old allocated more than 30 percent of his various company profits to his ‘Inspired by KM’ association.
Mbappe, recognized by Forbes for amassing a fortune of £94 million through endorsements and salary, is well-known for his philanthropy. In 2018, he reportedly donated his entire 2018 World Cup earnings (£380,000) to charity.
This development coincides with persistent rumors suggesting Mbappe’s potential free transfer to Real Madrid from PSG in the upcoming summer, concluding a protracted transfer saga marked by reported discord with the Ligue 1 champions and multiple attempts by Los Blancos to lure the star winger away.
Launched in 2020, Mbappe’s foundation, conceptualized by his mother, aims to assist 98 children from Paris in realizing their life ambitions. The charity emphasizes four fundamental values, encouraging children to ‘learn, understand, share, and pass on.’ Supporting 49 boys and 49 girls between the ages of nine and 16, Mbappe envisions providing backing until the commencement of their professional lives.
Despite her integral role in Mbappe’s contract negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, his mother advised against contributing more than 30 percent of his company profits to the association. Lamari, as revealed in an interview on the French television program ‘Envoye Special,’ scheduled for broadcast on January 18, humorously remarked, ‘I told him: Below 30%, I don’t do it! I’m retiring and doing like everyone else: I’m going on vacation to the Maldives, but I’m not working for you!’ She added that the initial suggestion was 50 percent, but after discussion, they settled on 30 percent.
The funds will be utilized to support the children through language courses, cultural and sports excursions, and master classes, as reported by Marca. Additionally, in 2018, Mbappe reportedly contributed his World Cup salary (£380,000) to charitable causes.
