Instead of exchanging vows at her wedding, a bride read out the textsof her fiancé’s affair.

A bride found a clever way to retaliate against her cheating fiancé.

The couple had been together for years, and what should have been the happiest day of her life took a bitter turn when she received a devastating text the night before their wedding.

Using a pseudonym for herself and her fiancé Alex, Casey was enjoying drinks with her bridesmaids when she received a series of screenshots from an unknown number.

Accompanying the screenshots was a message: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”

The messages provided undeniable evidence of Alex’s affair with another woman in the months leading up to his wedding to Casey.

“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game,” one racy message read.

“Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do,” read another.

A third text went on: “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”

“I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey wrote in an essay for Body+Soul. “My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off.”

She continued to write: “But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him.

“Eventually, we tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink and when dawn finally broke I awoke the girls and told them my decision – I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.”

In a bold move to expose her soon-to-be husband’s infidelity, Casey chose to share the incriminating text messages with all their wedding guests instead of reciting her vows.

Addressing the gathered attendees, the betrayed bride declared, “It seems Alex is not who I thought he was. I love all of you, and as awful as this situation is, I’m grateful for your presence here today.”

She announced that there would be no traditional wedding reception, but instead, a celebration of honesty, genuine love, and resilience in the face of heartache.

The groom’s face drained of color as his private messages were laid bare for everyone to hear. Eventually, he left the church, with his best man following closely behind him.

Casey reflected on the unconventional turn of events, stating, “It was certainly not the wedding day I had envisioned, but to our credit, it turned into one unforgettable celebration.”
