Todd Garner Hints at Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Trailer Release Date

Todd Garner Offers Insight on Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Trailer Release Date

Producer Todd Garner recently shed light on the eagerly awaited first official trailer for New Line Cinema’s upcoming Mortal Kombat 2 movie. With filming for the sequel to the 2021 installment concluded last month, fans eagerly turned to social media to inquire about the trailer’s release date.

In response to inquiries about the trailer’s debut, Garner simply stated, “Not for months,” indicating that fans may have to wait a while longer. Garner has reiterated this response multiple times on social media over the past few weeks.

While “months” may seem like a distant timeframe, it signifies progress in the sequel’s promotional campaign and could coincide with the announcement of its release date.

Typically, after filming wraps, a movie enters post-production, where teams focus on editing, visual effects, scoring, and other aspects of the filmmaking process. During this period, teaser trailers may be released, although the footage may not showcase the final version of the visual effects.

This approach mirrors the release of the first trailer for Tom Hardy’s initial Venom movie, which received criticism for its graphics. However, the team clarified that the trailer offered an early glimpse of the film and did not represent the final product’s quality.

As of now, Mortal Kombat 2 has not announced its release date, but fans can anticipate further updates as the promotional campaign progresses.
