Chris Hemsworth may be returning for another installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Thor, with reports indicating discussions for a fifth Thor movie.
However, this time around, director Taika Waititi will not be at the helm. Waititi, who directed both “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Thor: Love and Thunder,” confirmed his absence from Thor 5, citing the need for a break from the demanding filmmaking process.
Despite the mixed reception of “Love and Thunder,” Hemsworth is reportedly willing to continue portraying Thor for as long as Marvel Studios desires. Rumors are circulating that Hercules could be introduced in Thor 5, potentially blending Greek mythology with the established Norse mythos.
As of now, the release date for the film remains undisclosed.
