Musk, known for his unconventional approach, often attracts controversy. Despite this, he shared a valuable job interview tactic at the World Government Summit in 2017, explaining how he asks candidates about the most challenging problems they’ve worked on.
Musk believes this question can distinguish between truth-tellers and fibbers, a technique supported by the scientific concept of “Asymmetric Information Management” (AIM).
According to a 2020 study, AIM increases an interviewer’s ability to detect lies by 70%.
